Mama

Lacy

Lacy is known for her calm demeanor. She is gentle and never jumps up. She is one of the lightest golden retrievers in our group, with a nearly white coat. She doesn't seek the spotlight among the other dogs. However, she will lovingly approach you once the commotion has settled.

Stud

Excalibur

Excalibur is a handsome, kind-hearted English Cream Golden Retriever. His mild, laid-back temperament makes him a wonderful stud. One of his favorite pastimes is sitting in the pool. Excalibur’s sire’s parents were from Serbia. His clearances include OFA certifications on his hips and elbows. His Embark genetic tests are clear of all genetic defects.

How Much Do Golden Retriever Puppies Cost in Colorado?

Raising a Golden Retriever puppy is an incredibly rewarding experience, but it also requires significant time and hard work.

As responsible breeders, we do what’s best for our puppies and clients.

To provide healthy, well-bred Golden Retriever puppies, we have invested large amounts of money into our program with Genetic testing, OFA certifications, and temperament screening for all our parent dogs. Not to mention, we feed high-quality dog food.

We also invest a lot of time and energy in our puppies to raise them to be great companions you will enjoy for many years. Exposing the pups to Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises introduces different surfaces, tactile experiences, and sounds to desensitize and prepare the puppies for life after leaving the nursery.

We try hard to provide you with a loving furry friend and support you as the client for the life of your pet. This investment is reflected in the pricing of our puppies.

A big thank you to our puppy families who send us photos as their puppies grow. We enjoy seeing the puppies we raised get older and do fun things with their human companions. You can take many trails and dog-friendly adventures with your pup here in Colorado. We have puppies that have gone to other states as well, such as New Mexico, Nebraska, and Arizona. Some have even taken their Golden on vacation to Hawaii.

We put a lot of time and energy into raising these puppies, and it does our hearts good to see how well they are cared for. Many of our puppies have been bought for service dog purposes. Whether the owner has a particular need or is using a Golden to cheer up a hospital, a Golden is a great fit. This is an excellent job for Golden Retrievers as they are people-pleasers, and most people love them. Their smile can brighten the day of many.

The photos below were shared with us by customers who purchased a Golden Retriever puppy from us, and some were taken by us. I hope you enjoy the pictures and that they help you see the quality puppies we produce.

Why You Should Buy A Puppy From Us

2-year Genetic Health Guarantee

This Golden Retriever Breeder provides a 2-year genetic health guarantee on our pups. This will cover any genetic life-threatening diseases that the new puppy’s family may encounter in the first 2 years of the puppy’s life. For our protection and our puppy customers, we require the young dog to have a wellness exam from a licensed Veterinarian within the first 72 hours of leaving the Golden Crest Retrievers nursery for the 2-year genetic health guarantee to be honored.

Health DNA Tested Parents

We take great pride in providing healthy parents in our breeding program. Our adult dogs are DNA genetic health tested, so we know exactly what genetics we are breeding into our puppies. This step alone gives us confidence in the health of our puppies.

The health of our Dogs is our focus. We closely monitor our doggies from the day of birth to when they leave the nursery to ensure their health and well-being.

At Golden Crest Retrievers, we believe in sharing your puppy’s medical information from day one. The Breeder Cloud Pro helps us conveniently post all the deworming dates, vaccines, microchip numbers, and vet information. The Pet Portal of the Breeder Cloud allows you access to medical information whenever needed. This makes it easy to forward needed information to your veterinarian.

Visiting the Nursery

After you fill out a puppy application, you are welcome to meet us and check out our facility by appointment. We take great care of our pups and wish to keep them healthy. We ask that only serious customers visit to reduce the risk of someone unintentionally bringing in a harmful disease (like parvo, giardia, etc.) into the nursery and risking the health of our puppies.

For the safety of the young puppies, we ask that you wait to visit them until they are at least 6 weeks old. After the puppies are 6 weeks old, the families on our waiting list and picking from the current litter are invited to come over for in-person puppy picking. See our adoption process page to learn more about puppy picking day.

We understand that visiting and playing with a litter of puppies is exciting and that you want to share that experience with your friends and extended family. Still, we ask that only family members who will be a valuable part of the picking process come along. Young children are welcome, but we highly stress that their parents closely supervise them when they are around the puppies.

To help reduce the number of visits from outside families, we offer video calling and post puppy update videos on our YouTube channel for those unable to visit on Saturday for Puppy Picking.

Our biggest concern with having visitors too early is stressing the mother and her puppies with strangers handling her puppies at such a young age. We appreciate your understanding when we ask that you wait until the golden retrievers are 6 weeks old to visit.
We look forward to meeting you. Please let us know if you have any questions about the reservation process.
